There are several special nights organised through the year such as, blind tasting, a beer and chutney night, where members all make homemade chutneys and a prize is awarded for the best one, A November theme night and a Christmas meal with quizzes and games.

The wine section year starts in February with a wine trail and then the monthly tasting commences. The section is very sociable with the idea of trying different wines of various makes and price; this encourages the taster to discover their preferences.

It costs $5.00 to join the wine section; a further charge of $10.00 for section members, $15.00 for non-members applies to participate in the monthly tastings.
